In this article, we examine how employee resistance affects acquisition integration and overall performance. We find that resistance often stems from cultural clashes and perceived job insecurity, which can significantly hinder integration success. For managers, the takeaway is that addressing employee concerns early—through clear communication and involvement in the integration process—can mitigate resistance, fostering smoother integration and better acquisition outcomes.
